Top News and Magazines Apps in Colombia: Q2 2025 Performance

In the second quarter of 2025, several prominent news and magazine applications demonstrated varied performance trends in Colombia, according to data from Sensor Tower.

X (Formerly Twitter) maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads peaking at 48.5K in early June. The app's revenue oscillated between $5.5K and $9K, with active users consistently above 5M, reaching 6.1M in the first week of June.

Periódico EL TIEMPO - Noticias experienced a notable uptick in active users, growing from 6.9K to over 10K by the end of June. Revenue peaked at $4.1K in late June, while downloads remained steady, fluctuating around 500 per week.

EL PAÍS saw a gradual increase in revenue, particularly in June, reaching $576 at its height. Downloads showed minor fluctuations, averaging around 100 weekly, while active users hovered close to 800.

Medium displayed stable download numbers, maintaining around 200 weekly. Revenue showed a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, rising to $271. Active users, however, trended downward, ending at approximately 1.5K.

NYTimes: US and Global News experienced an increase in active users, peaking at 3K in June. Revenue fluctuated, peaking at $814 in early April, while downloads remained relatively stable, averaging around 200 weekly.
